2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Canon Creek Vineyard
Rich, lush ripe cherries and berries with a leathery complexity and a touch of
oak aromas, lead to just the lush flavors the aromas promised. The tannins are
perfectly balanced and soft and supple. In fact, the tannins are surprisingly soft,
considering that the wine was aged for 23 months in 70% new French Oak
barrels. It's surprising that a 2004 Cabernet could be this rich and this supple
at the same time.

It's clear that Rollie Heitz grew up in the right family, with plenty of exposure to
exceptional Napa Valley Cabernets. Only 322 cases produced.
